Cacau Park accessibility: what is known for disabled visitors
Cacau Show has not yet announced how accessibility will work at Cacau Park: routes, rides, restrooms and assistance for people with disabilities. What is already set is Brazilian federal law: people with disabilities are entitled to a half-price ticket (meia-entrada) at leisure and entertainment events, and so is their companion, when one is needed. We will update this page as soon as the park publishes its rules.

Do people with disabilities pay half price?
Yes, under federal law. Law 12.933/2013 guarantees a half-price ticket to people with disabilities at leisure and entertainment events, among others, and extends it to their companion, when one is needed. It is half of the price charged to the general public.
Decree 8.537/2015, which regulates the law, sets how to prove the disability when buying the ticket and at the entrance:
- the BPC (Benefício de Prestação Continuada) card of the person with a disability; or
- an INSS document certifying retirement of a person with a disability (Complementary Law 142/2013);
- in either case, together with an official photo ID.
For the companion, until the official disability assessment provided for in the law is in place, a statement that assistance is needed is enough, made by the person with a disability or, if they cannot, by the companion, when buying and at the entrance.

What the Brazilian Inclusion Law guarantees
Law 13.146/2015 (the Brazilian Inclusion Law) applies to every park in the country. Among other points, it guarantees people with disabilities:
- the right to tourism and leisure on equal terms with other people (art. 42);
- priority service at institutions and services open to the public (art. 9);
- hotels and inns built on universal design principles and with the accessibility features required by law (art. 45). The Cacau Park complex will have its own hotels.
What to check with the park before your visit
Once Cacau Park publishes its rules, check its official channels for:

- each ride’s rules for wheelchair users or visitors who need help transferring to the seat;
